Rattle When in Gear Low Rpm or Coming to Stop
I tin can hear rattling dissonance when I am releasing the clutch pedal. The problem is as follows. I push button the clutch pedal to the end, change to the starting time gear, and start releasing the pedal (without pushing on the dispatch pedal for this test). At some point before the total date I can hear strong rattling noise from my car until the clutch pedal is fully upwards (at this point there is a little to no rattling noise). The point is that fifty-fifty if I push on the acceleration pedal, and at the aforementioned time release the clutch pedal faster to the full appointment point, I tin still encounter this rattling consequence (although not as strong as before) somewhere before the clutch pedal is fully upward. This also happens for shifting to the second gear, but not for upper gears nor for the reverse gear. Is this normal?

I experienced similar noise and information technology nevertheless persists simply very minimal. Because my Dominor 400 has slipper clutch the mechanics said its quite normal. Only im non convinced and did a chain aligning forth with clutch free play adjustment myself and the noise has reduced to over 90% of what information technology used to be. It took nearly 20 to thirty minutes to become the right setting and few trial rides later on each of the adjustment, which is a painstaking task and hence mechanics dont take much intendance about our problem... After its our bicycle and we need it to perform the fashion we want....Try out the adjustments and i am certain you will detect the noise vanish or reduce to great extent....All the best... happy motoring... From your description, it seems likely a throw out begetting, only I'm not sure how the BMW clutch organization is put together. If it'due south a dual mass configuration, it could be the flywheel associates.

Do yous merely hear a rattle and not feel annihilation? I am also thinking information technology could be a transmission mount. I would open the hood of the vehicle and accept someone advance from a stop without using the throttle and try to discover where the noise is coming from

@method: I can feel that something in the engine compartment is shaking when this happens. This only happens when the speed of the car (and the engine rev) is very low. If I push button the acceleration pedal more to increase the engine rev. to above k rpm, then when I am releasing the clutch pedal, I almost don't hear (neither feel) any rattling noise.

Yes when you are revving higher the engine becomes more "balanced", especially if y'all are leasing the clutch and the engine rpms drop depression it would shake more the lower the rpm. I would endeavour to locate the mount and enquire someone to take a wait at how it shakes when you are starting from a end
